See more about this pub on WhatPub, CAMRA's national pub guide.
Isolated, 250-year-old stone-built pub on a packhorse route overlooking the Tame Valley. It is a classic moorland pub next to a deconsecrated church occasionally used as a film or TV location. In a popular walking area, it benefits from outstanding views. The pub comprises a cosy bar and three rooms, each with an open fire. The refurbished side room boasts a hand-carved stone fireplace, while the comfortable snug has exposed beams and old photos of the inn. The pub has a house beer from Coach House plus three changing beers, with at least one from Millstone. GBG listed for over twenty five consecutive years. Please note that the pub doesn't open on a Saturday afternoon.
This former pub is permanently closed and is now a house.
