Train Trip to Chorley

Friday 2 November 2018

Due to continuing problems with trains at weekends, the branch social trip to Chorley has now been brought forward one day to Friday 2nd November.

The arrangements for meeting are still the same as contained in the last CAMRA Calling, see below.

Suggested train times are 11.01 from Manchester Piccadilly (arrives Chorley 11.37) or 11.05 from Manchester Victoria (arrives Chorley 11.48).

Friday 2nd Nov (Revised date) Train trip to Chorley. The outline plan is to meet at 12.00 noon at the Shepherds Hall Ale House, Chapel Street which is next to the bus station, which is itself across the main road from the train station. Then at 14.00 we will move to the Flat Iron, Cleveland Street which is near the market hall. For early birds there are many pubs in the town centre area, most of which open at noon but if anybody wants to arrive earlier, the Wetherspoons (Sir Henry Tate) in New Market Street and the Bob Inn in the Market Hall open at 8am and 10am respectively.
