The Clarence is a Gastropub with fine dining and serving excellent real ale. It has been lovingly and stylishly restored, to recreate the pub 'as it was'.. The ground floor contains the main bar, now restored to its former place, as shown by the original in situ floor tiles. The pub was sold before COVID and was owned by Cross Bay Brewery at one stage. However, it is now fully independent, and the intention is to source beers from a wide range of small breweries. The restaurant is on the first floor with the cocktail bar on the second floor (by invitation only after 11pm) which is now available for private hire. Usually, 3 hand pulls weekdays with up to 5 at weekends

Reopened 17/5/2021 after COVID The Clarence in Bury is closed permanently according to a note on the door. 28-9-2022
