Town centre pub that has escaped modern brashness, it has regular entertainment sessions on Wednesday, Friday and Sunday afternoons and Friday and Saturday nights, these involve Artists/karaoke. The splendid "Oak Room" can be be viewed on request with the building being Grade II listed. Real ale is only put on a weekends so can run out midweek. Reopened after refurbishment. Reopened 4/7/2020
