Branch Trip to Lancaster, by train
Lancaster by train - Saturday 6 December 2025
We’re looking forward to this one! Hoping for a great turn-out. Why not bring someone who hasn’t joined us on a social before?
The plan is to visit the 5 Town centre pubs that are in the latest Good Beer Guide, and also to take a peek at the North West Regional Club of the Year……the one that just nudged Dobcross Band and Social Club into Runner-up position.
Getting there.
Meet on the concourse around 11am for the 11:21 am train from Manchester Piccadilly. This is a direct service to Lancaster, arriving just short of an hour later. An Off-peak day return using a Railcard costs £15.85, allowing a choice of return times.
Suggested Itinerary.
Off the train and straight into Tite & Locke, the bar at the heart of the railway station.
10 minute, mostly flat walk, to Three Mariners
5 minute walk to Bobbin
10 minute walk to Gregsons Art & Community Centre (NW Region COTY)
5 minute walk to White Cross
25 minute walk to Wobbly Cobbler (Or a choice of buses from nearby stops)
30 minute walk back to Railway station (Or a choice of buses from nearby stops)
